Big Jim the Lumberjack

Wander the Museum site and meet "Big Jim the Lumberjack", a jovial and witty character whose stories will take you back to the 1800's, when Boiestown became the supply and "jumping-off" place for the lumbering business up and down the Miramichi River.

Stories of the camp cook, teamsters, loggers, lumbermen, stage coach drivers, and the historic Whooper Train. You may find Jim at the Cookhouse and enjoy some black tea and molasses cookies while you listen to tales that are as old as the trees in our forest.

"Big Jim" is unable to be on site this summer due to travel restrictions.
